Notified Body

Certifer Belgorail is officially recognised as a Notified Body for the railway sector.

Certifer Belgorail has been accorded identification number 1615 by the European Commission's Directorate General for Enterprise and Industry.

We intervene for each of the railway subsystems in structural areas as defined by the Interoperability Directive:

• Infrastructure
• Energy
• Trackside Control-Command and Signalling
• On-board Control-Command and Signalling
• Rolling Stock

and covering the various TSIs currently in force.

Certifer Belgorail is an active member of NB-RAIL, the coordination group of Notified Bodies for Railway products and systems, and also participates in other working groups at ERA level (CSG, RDD, NLF End-users group).

ECM Certification Body

Certifer Belgorail is the first European certification body to be accredited for certification of Entities in Charge of Maintenance (ECM).

As from 21 May 2012, Certifer Belgorail has been officially approved at European level under reference BE/30/0110/0001 (now reference BE/30/0120/0002) as a body approved for the Certification of Entities in Charge of Maintenance under the provisions of Article 10.2 of Regulation (EU) 2019/779.
